My 95 S6 Avant has one cracked headlight and the low beams seem pretty poor in general. The high beams for some reason seem better than average. I want to initially replace the cracked headlight and conflicting reports indicate I could order a Euro spec lens only ($150.00) and pop the old lense from the US spec assembly. My dealer does not think it is possible to remove the US spec lense?? anyone know? Could I get a more powerful setup (HID?) without having to spend $$$ and upgrade the wiring harness? I would not mind upgrading if it was not a fortune. The euro lens only idea sounded good. Will they increase my light even thought the bulbs are not changing.
