Default just returned from Waterfest...

only 2 [?] UrS4s were on display, one of them being my friend's car...red on blk, RS2 body kit, Hella smoked rears, Oettinger wheels, etc.. the other UrS4 was owned by an individual whom I unfortunately didn't get the chance to meet.. but having taken a peek under the hood, it was clear he had done some interesting work.. custom FMIC, a Turbonetics turbo [or at least I believe it was], injectors, etc... his time slip read 12.5@111. Very nice. unfortunately, I was unable to show my car this year, as it's currently in the body shop getting an RS2 kit installed... but I'm hoping the additional time will allow me to do some interesting work to the car before putting it on display. KTR Performance was in attendance, along with a SICK B5 S4 they've been building.... a single turbo set-up, with stand alone engine management.. it's bananas, and said to be capable of 600-800 wheel horsepower. I'm seriously considering taking a ride up there in a month or two to discuss tuning options for the AAN motor, in terms of hybrid turbos, stand alone systems and other sneaky bits of related insanity.

Default Guess you didn't see my car then.......I was in the show area way in the back......

I saw Not A Benz and TurboJew in the Exhibition area and then there was me and 2 red S4's in the show area. My favorate car was the beautiful gray 84 Quattro Coupe that blasted down the track in 11.6 at 123mph. Can't get that car out of my head!

OH! your avant is the one with less than 40K on the odometer, right? That's right.. I totally forgot about that car. Very clean!
I actually didn't take a look at any of the cars in the exhibition area...mostly just the show area. My friends and I were only there for something like 90 minutes or so, and spent a lot of that time talking to the vendors and grilling burgers under our tent. Yay for Consumerism & Consumption.

Default Hell yes, I remember you. Your car looked very nice, congrats......

How long have you had it? Thanks for the compliments, I love this thing and with a lower stance it'll be just right for me.

ive had mine a lil over a year now.. i have the money now for a older s6/s4 avant but im thinking of keeping mine.. god knows i dont need another car that needs as much maintenence as mine does..

but yeah yours with a nice 1.5" drop would make it look realllly good.. oh and by the way.. i dont know if your planning on keeping your (i think you had a) delta.. but im putting a symphony II in mine.. moving my cc unit down to where the ashtray is to make room for the double din size.. i have some trim all cut up and so far it looks good.. but ill post everywhere once i get it done.. i like the factory look.. i havent seen an aftermarket install in the c4's that look good at all..

Default Re: just returned from Waterfest...

Where did you and your friend get your engine work done. I've had some bad experiences with the tuners I've been to.
