Default Interesting bomb (pressure accumulator) problem

A PO of my car was in an accident. The left front of the car was hit. The shop that I bought it from did most of the work, though I am still working out a couple of issues.

I have to replace the washer res since there is a hole in it. Last night I wrestled it out, and discovered the the bomb really isn't in the right place. The lines were bent towards the center of the car from the accident, and the whole bomb was pushed right as well.

Can I bend them back, or should I get new ones? Where would I get new lines?

Thanks,
Tom

pay for shipping and I'll get you one that doesn't have bends in the lines

Default i'm pretty sure the part you have pictured isn't the bomb

is the reciever/drier for the A/C system, and no the lines really can't be bent back. The bomb is against or near the firewall, by the steering rack, iirc.

Default So it is the A/C receiver/dryer?

Then to replace, I would have to have the A/C system "drained", replace the lines, and have the system re-charged?

Default yep, and since you have a '92, you can have even more fun

unless your car has been converted, the a/c uses R12, which isn't produced any more and is getting very expensive if you can find a place to do it. If you are going to do it, it's the perfect time to convert it to R-134a.

I would worry more about having no fender liner.
