I can see clearly now!
Well, been working on my S6 this weekend (at least I did a few things...)
I finally had the fuel line recal done at the dealer. Then I got the windshield and gasket replaced last week (PPG glass) and I also replaced the lower "cowling", the wiper arms and wiper blades, all with NEW!
You'll see in the pics below my new, clean and clear looking glass and trim... Below that the old torn up and faded cowling. After that the delaminated passenger mirror glass, now replaced with NEW! Hard to see in that pic, but looks great. I can see again!!!
No before pics of the glass, but it was heavily damaged Colorado glass.

Also, re-installed my hard mounted V1 (I pulled all my A-pillar trim to ensure nothing was damaged when the replaced the glass, and I applied my new GA State Toll authority cruise card!
Next thing to work on is the paint, which quite frankly looks like $hit. I plan to wet sand, buff, and polish the hell out of it over the next two weeks... then finally get my sunroof fixed!

How much for that cowl?
I was going to fix mine, paint it etc... now wondering if it's worth the trouble.
For the side mirrors, if suggest taking a small bead of silicon and sealing around so water doesn't get in and do the same job all over again!

Try more like $100...
I think the driver's side was only $45 or $50, so I was supprised how much it was... but, I think I paid right about $100 for it. Non-heated glass maybe less, but probably not by much.

The cowl piece is expensive....
I thought about doing the same thing. Pulling mine apart, having it powder coated, replacing the underside plastic chicken-wire stuff, etc... But, time is money too, and I just wanted to get it done.
I think that piece is about $350 retail. I paid a little over $300 on my wholesale account.
I also replaced the little allen bolts that hold it in place from underneath, but those I was able to get from the local ACE Hardware.

Thanks, how much for the new wiper arms? Anyone know if there are other alternatives for wiper arms?
$300 for the cowl is steep, I think I will shoot mine with por-15 and be done with it... but as as you said... it's finding the time!!!
