Not neccesary unless you track the car.

Default Disagree. Big Reds were the best mod I had on my S.

Yes, they are much more fade resistent on the track, and yes the stock brakes can stop the car just fine, but for pedal feel and the ability to threashold brake there is no substitute for Big Reds.

Agreed. They are really enjoyable on the street.

Default The HPII are better than G60s, but they're very heavy and you don't have as many options for pads...

as you do with the Big Reds. That said, I know a couple people in the US with Hoppen modified cars (Hoppen offered the HPIIs as an upgrade in the US) that have put a lot of track time on their cars, so it's not something you have to change even if you want to track the car.

The problem with trying to switch your car over to Big Reds is that you'd have to start by swapping out the strut housings- the HPII cars got completely different strut housings than the G60s that we got in the US, and all of the Big Red conversion kits I'm aware of are based on the G60 strut housings.

Default and you'll never want to change pads on any other design, ever again

Porsche monoblocks rule, 5 minute pad changes, including the time it takes to jack the car up and remove the wheel!

Default recently,i've got problem with the strut housing...

firstly,i look for the A6's strut housing and i found out that the bracket clearance mounting for A6 and S6 is different .the stock caliper for mine is HP2 caliper.
i'm really don't know if the strut housing for G60 on S6 in US and A6 is the same one.

in addition to the HP2 caliper,i think it's very heavy.it's around 50kgs for2 HP2 calipers+ 2 rotor discs[314x30mm]
and also i found only Lucas's that offered me the brake pads and very expensive.the price around $275and it always fade out after few times of hard braking.
