Home grown exhaust, Euro headlights
I know this was covered moons ago, but need refreshing. I have stock AAN and want to open up exhaust a little. Was thinking of gutting the cats, keeping the center resonator and deleting the rear muffler, or going to a dual in/out flowmaster. I am looking also at doing Euro headlights and want to know the difference between the 92-94 and my 95.5. As far as I knew, there wasn't any. Lastly, I want to know if anyone else has done any hybrid turbo's--I have a place which will mate the k-26 to a Turbonetics ball bearing unit. I have the RS-2 manifold, but don't have it installed yet. I am a long time Audi guy, but a little out of the loop on this stuff. I also own an Allroad which has been chipped,(tip too) intake and exhaust, wheels and tires. The S-6 was kept stock over the years due to the fact that it was my daily and that I knew my kids would have to learn stick with it. Thus far, 105,k same clutch, 2 teen aged drivers,(knock on wood!) Now the boy wants to "trick 'er out a little". I don't mind reliable horsepower--will probably go with a MTM, IA chip--anyone got a reputable chip for sale?

Conventional wisdom is a homebrew exhaust will drone.
Decide on your turbo first. It will dictate the software. The software will dictate what else you have to change, such as injectors and fuel pressure regulator. 95+ headlights are a different shape than 92-94. Get a HID kit instead of euro lights. MTM chips are good.
A turbo upgrade is a big commitment. Suggest instead a MTM 1+ chipset w/ VMAP and a Stromung exhaust if you want a faster, louder car. Combined with the RS2 EM it will be very nice.
