But the high on-off during driving and the ballast response time will be bad and kill it .

Found it! 9006 for the lows, H3 for the fogs.

I understand that the high beams are a no no, but the fogs?

Default yeah I know but take look at the prices for spare parts...
and maybe HIDs become more resistant to frequent on-off

BTW what will be broken, ballast and/or bulb?
do you know how long it might take?
