Totally. TOTALLY unnecessary to run an S6 three spoke steering wheel if you...
follow Steve Young's instructions (based on my "design" for the cancellation ring conversion).

Link to the updated S6 steering wheel conversion instructions in the FAQ

That's the easiest way. That was Method 3, I did Method 1 (Mike Deblasio's) and Method 2 (mine) and
developed Method 3, which Steve Young carried out and documented. Method 3 is the strongest of them all and eliminates the needs for S6 switches and everything that that entails.

Link to Method 3, as written up by Steve Y

Nope, I'm retrofitting the trip computer from 92 into my 93. My 93 didn't have...
When we parted the 92, i didn't know to grab the harness that connects the IC and the Steering stalk.
When I pulled apart my 93, i discovered it was not equipped w/ that harness. So i just gotta wire it up and plug it in and i should be fine.
Hope Radio shack has something I can work with. If not... off to Fry's.
