Got my *** handed to me today by a Miata..............
but it was a "Monster Miata" with a 4.6L Mustang engine. Very quick little car, it was so weird to hear that V8 rumble out of a Miata and see a dual exhaust. It must be a lot of fun

Lol! Miata folks are a techie group, I've found
I sold our last car to a guy with a retrofit turbo conversion on his Miata. He took me for a ride... damn, that thing was FAST... butt dyno says faster than a chipped biturbo S4.
I can't imagine a V8. Lol!

a fibreglass tondeau cover. Or in the back seat of a Mk.1 GTi. Less than 2000 lbs (for the Mk. 1 GTi) and say 350 Hp. Think it would be quick? Oh, yeah. Think is would be stealth? Okay, then a 4 door Mk.1 German built 1979 Golf? Want to talk power to weight ratios? Want to talk waste of money? But fun.

I saw something like that recently in a european car mag......
it was a nasty looking Mk 1, pea green with rediculous fender flares. He fit a 20VTurbo in the front and also the quattro drive system (reason for the big fender flares). The interior was VERY sparten and it was said to run 0-60 in the high 3 second range.
