Default few questions about boost

past few days been thinking a few thing about my car..now I am not posting that I am right.just like some feedback on the topic

first thing.. I was going to replace my n75 because mine is old and orginal, but I was thinking why this can not be removed? and add a Manual boost control.. if the ecu corrects fuel because of map sensor in ecu we should be able to do this no?

second thing.. in regards to these 1.9bar springs for WG is this for guys with chip correct?

so for us that use stock setup for now turning "in" the oem spring is a simple mod to do?

by turning in what are we doing? is it safe?

thanks for the help

just wanted to understand these 2 subjects a bit better

Default Don't remove your WGFV if you are running the Motronic ECU.

Frankly, I can't see removing it at all. But that's just me - I don't have unlimited funds for fixing blown-up motors.

Default screwing in the WG spring effectively increases the spring rate, helping build boost quicker.

if you get surging, that means the spring is screwed down too far and the WG can't vent the air it needs to properly.

Default If it's the stock spring, drill the cap and screw it all the way down.

If your car surges, pull it back, otherwise it should be fine.

If the spring rate is too hard (which on the stock spring is almost unpossible) you get surge.

Default Somewhere in that range, but as I said... feel free to crank it all the way down if...

it's the stock spring. Only if you get surging (you'll notice it) should you ease it off.
