so i go through my mail today from when i was away last week and there's the letter of nonconformance for my S4. i open it up and see what the details are. blah blah blah kilometers instead of miles etc...

then they go on to say that i don't have passive restraint systems and that my car doesn't pass CARB....

WTF???! MY CAR HAS SEATBELTS ABS AND AN AIRBAG....EXACTLY THE SAME AS A US MODEL!!!

AND WHAT THE HELL DO I CARE ABOUT CARB?!?!?1 I'M NOT MOVING TO CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!!

so i call them up and not only do they stick with their story, they won't believe me when i say i have an airbag nor will they budge on the non-conformance!!!!!!

god i'm pissed!

good thing i have a potential hassle saving deal in the works. god i'm gonna miss this car.

actually talking to someone at Audi Customer Care (not that they do). When you do, be nice and ask to speak to a supervisor and then explain your situation.

However, you should remember why you have your car in the first place. It was a Canadian car in Florida and the owner couldn't get it registered in Florida. (IIRC). There had to be a reason for that. (Not that the reason would have to make ANY sense).

so he should definitely know what's what. Igor Kessel's 97 S6 (advertized on the weekend) is a 97 Canadian S6 that he imported to Pennsylvania about 1999.
