Default Driver's side heated mirror working...sort of

Last week during our freezing rain all of the glass surfaces of the car were covered with ice. I turned on the rear window defroster and the passenger side mirror thawed out in no time. The drivers side mirror ice softened, but not quite a quickly or as thoroughly. Can the heaters become partially disconnected from the back of the glass? How easy is it to remove the mirror and check the heaters?

Default Well, the heater itself is apart of the glass

there is a connector under the glass for the heater. If fold the mirror out, towards the front of the car, then push slowly with your thump the foreward edge of the glass in as far as it goes, you can see the connector and make sure it is connected. If it is, then the heating element in the glass may be bad. HTH.

BTW, my BMW mirrors take forever to warm, really annoying.
