check the plastic coolant fitting on the back of the block
they crack frequently. replace with the same part from a 5000, it's metal instead of plastic.

Re: Kind of random
the coolant line for the turbo seems dry and sealed. i had the car up in the air last night and ran it to find the leak.
its coming from the front and center of the oil pan and runnig back along the fins.
front of the timing cover is dry, though i didnt get to look inside. and everything is tidy up by the rad.
i am thinking just do the wp and t belt to get it out of the way now

Coolant can also run along the outside of a hose or casing
and appear to be dripping in one place when the leak is a couple of feet away.
A cracked T fitting is a good example. The fitting cracks inside the hose then leaks out at the fitting-hose junction and runs down the outside of the hose and drops at another spot. It's more obvious (and catastrophic) if the fitting blows out completely but a slow leak can be difficult to find unless you know specifically where to look.
Cleaning everything and starting it up without moving the car is the best place to start.
