Default Bosch aftermarket fuel pumps.....

Be weary folks....

Turns out the one we put in the UrS for vaughn, the new owner of my old love....was a dud.

Pump had enough pressure and volume to start the car and drive without boost - but the moment you laid into the throttle, it fell on it's face and nearly died.

Ordered a new OEM pump, installed today, problem gone. Old pump will be going back to AutohausAZ.

Default Bad luck. I have been running a Bosch for three years. RS2'd no big problems.

But will likely go Walbro or the like.

Default Drop-in Walbro from AMD for $175. Better than the 005, not as good as the 044

And for the price? Can't beat it.

Default No experience.

Going by what I've read and heard.

Peak flow is supposedly more than 005. By comparing specs you can see that.

Default AMD has said here that the Walbro pumps they sell have a lifetime warranty.

And that thread does have some helpful info on the flow rates of the different Bosch pumps, and why our pumps kack at higher pressures.

Walbro for me.

Default Which Walbro pump are you talking about?

034 sells the 255lph one for $105. You can get the 044 pump off ebay for a decent price.

Default The 034 walbro pump is just the pump itself.

it needs some custom work (some sort of ring) to fit in the stock basket as it is slightly smaller in diameter than our Bosch OEM pump - per Jason at AMD.

Default Yeah, the pump.

But not the V8 basket.

Which you have to have to make it work.
