6 speed internal gear box noise?
I have a noise in the gear box, sounds like it is in the center kind off a lite knocking or tapping goes away whenyou push in the clutch and stop the shaft from spinning. Any ideas, common/terminal, just fluid level which I still have to check. By the way what should it have for fluid.

If the noise is there at low speeds, sounds like something thumping the wheelwell...
...it could be the tube for the starter wires hitting the sway bar. I know, sounds crazy, but I thought I had serious suspension issues, and it was the tube rubbing under load. Just unbolt it, bend it away a little and bolt her back up...

Actually, the euro versions had them and...
the US versions all had a 6 speed box with only 5 gears and a dummy. If you wanted to convert it you just ordered the missing gears.. Hoppen used to carry them..
