245/50/16 would fit on our beloved Fuch with no problem right? not much different with 245/45/16

245/45/16 is nearly perfect in terms of matching with the OEM rolling diam.
Going to a 50 aspect gives you more cushion/dampening, but that's the only positive.
You lose roadfeel, handling(car will be jacked up a half an inch higher and there's more sidewall flex), & aesthetics(car will be jacked up a half an inch higher), and your speedo will be off a good bit. Not to mention I think it surpasses the OEM rolling diameter tolerances of +/- 2.5%. I could be wrong on the last one, but I don't feel like checking the math.
As everyone else said, it's not a good idea, but it's nice to know why not.
