1997 S6 no start
Car 1997 Audi S6 (can model) 2.2l turbo stage 3 modified.
History: car run perfect up until I got a shudder from the engine, shut it off and had it towed home. I opened the ignition coil cover and to my surprise one sparkplug popped out and did damage to the coil. I repaired the sparkplug thread with a heli-coil, fitted new sparkplug and a new Beru coil. I have to say the wire color from the new coil was different so I put black on black and brown on Yellow. Started the car and it was still running rough and lack of power. So I reversed the wires and the car run A1 up until I shut it off. … Next try: no start no spark. Anybody got any idea what I should look for. Thanks in advance….

Randomly changing wires on the coil connection is a recipe for disaster. Hopefully you haven't caused too much damage. There are two wires going to the OE coils: a yellow (originally yellow, maybe aged to tan/brown by now) 12V power wire from one of the two white 12v power connectors and a black trigger wire from one of the two Power Output Stage (POS) black three pin connectors (the OE black wires are numbered, 1 through 5 with 1, 2 and 3 in one connector and 4 and 5 in the other). My guess is when you changed the wires the second time, you blew the coil fuse = no start. Change the wires back to black to black and yellow to yellow (aged to tan). Then replace the fuse in the yellow holder above the ECU.

I re-did the wires according to color (brown vs yellow!! black on black) replaced the injector ECU fuse. Found a shaved wires under coil 1 or 5 (closest to firewall) fixed this one. Car started right up, did not run clean for a bit but after a short test drive all was back to normal.
Thanks again, I already anticipated hours just searching what could be the issue. Been driving "aged" Audis for the last 15 years and at times it has been tricky..

Happy to hear that you solved your problem.
