windshield wiper chatter/jerking?
We've had a substantial amount of rain in SoCal this past week and so I've had my first opportunity to use the windshield wipers on my e-tron.
I gotta say, I'm not impressed. The wipers don't make a smooth motion across the windshield: they "stick" to the glass and chatter/jerk across the glass. Looks like I'm not the only one -- here's a thread about a 2019 Q3 that has the same issue: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q3-...otion-2989719/
Anybody else seeing this? Is this one of those cases where once the windshield and/or wipers "wear in" that it'll get better? Or are the OEM wipers just junk and I should replace them?

I haven't noticed a problem yet but, unfortunately, we haven't had enough rain here in the last month or two to give the wipers much of a test. You could try silicone, 303 protectant, or some other rubber treatment product on the blades.
When was your car built? If it was sitting on a dealer's lot for a time before you bought it maybe the blades just got brittle sitting in the weather.
My expectation would be that they wouldn't just "wear in". If the car is just a few months old maybe your dealer would make an accommodation on a new set. Personally, I'd probably try that first before going aftermarket.

Audi Mission Viejo fixed this for us
We live in Orange County and I took my e-tron into Audi Mission Viejo for this last week- while it was raining. They verified, took the car back and polished the windshield with some compound (3M?)- and it's fine now.
** spoke to soon ** 4-10-20 in So Cal rain and the judder is back

Clean the windshield and wiper blades thoroughly and you should be good.

Clay bar the windshield. Caused by contamination.

I had this exact issue with my wipers when I first got my e-tron last July - the first week I drove it in a heavy rain storm. I took it to the dealer and they said they tried to adjust the wipers but they didn’t really fix it - they told me not to use the wipers on a dry windshield (duh).
Since the wipers were still sticking/jumping I cleaned the windshield with vinegar and it was much better and improved over time. Now they work fine.
