I had this happen only once with my 2022 (have had the car for 5 mos now). I believe it was triggered by a few leaves under the car near the area the foot swiping is supposed to be although I can't remember if I had the fob on me, but with 2 presses required on it, I don't think it was from that.

Yes, twice and the second time I had a case on the key to keep it from happening and it still happens. Oddly it only happens at one grocery store out of the three I have to go to.

Numerous times. Different conditions each time. I’ll have to look into disabling the key fob operation on the trunk. I didn’t know I could do that.

To disable the remote from opening the trunk requires an ODB2 tool, such as ODBEleven. From the ODBEleven discussion group:
DISABLE REAR LID OPENING WITH REMOTE KEY
- Disable opening of rear lid when double clicking the middle button on the remote key
- Alternatively set the value to "0.40 s" to keep the function, but only with rapid double click.
Adaptation
Control unit: 46 Central Module Comfort System
Name: Heckklappe öffnen durch Doppelbetätigung der Funkfernbedienung
Value:
Time window for double-actuation
Old value: 1.40 s
New value: 0 s

Tail gate hit garage door
Just had this happen a few days ago while walking up to my car, key in coat pocket, car in garage, thankfully no damage to vehicle or garage door, glad to know I am not the only one this happens to. Wondering now if it’s safe to leave items in vehicle when not at home?

This has been a problem with many Audi models. When the '19 etron came out there were many complaints about the tailgate opening for no reason. I had it happen to my '19 several times when we owned it and once on the '21 we currently own. I think I sat on the remote when wearing loose fitting shorts a few times. Considering how much pressure it takes to click the remote button twice it's hard to imagine a false trip could be triggered buy having the remote in a pants pocket. Fortunately we were near the car when it happened so we could close the tailgate.
