Macan versus Q8 e-tron
Is anyone considering the new Porsche Macan versus getting an Audi Q8 e-Tron? I'm in the very beginning stages of this analysis but I would be interested to hear of anyone else who is weighing the pros and cons of each. The Macan appears to be smaller than the Q8 e-Tron from what I have been able to gather. Thanks in advance.

I have the Taycan and get the Macan Gas car as a loaner. Porsche cars are glued to the road, stiffly suspended, you will feel every imperfection in the surface. The ride in a Q8 is just firm enough but a joy for long road trips. That will be one of the biggest differences.

Interior space of the Macan is larger than the Q8 e-ton (at least the Q6 e-tron interior space is larger than the Q8 e-tron), just on a smaller footprint.

Define less. Have you owned a Porsche? A Macan? I have - and currently own a 911. There will always be more content and cachet in a Porsche compared to Audi. Always. I also currently own an eTron. It's all in what you want. Is the Audi a better VALUE than the Macan - I'd say it probably is.

For my wife, it's all about golf clubs. Very few of the other EVs that were in the consideration set were able to hold clubs without putting down the seat. If the Macan can do it, we'd consider it for the more modern EV platform. But since we love the etron, we won't be changing now that we have it.

I have a 2020 Taycan and my wife just got a Q8 Prestige Plus - she loves it. It's the most she's ever loved a car in her adulthood, according to her.
However, *I* may want the Macan once some 2025 lease returns start rolling in in 2026 or 2027. I feel like the Q8 is bigger than the Macan (though not sure what the 2025 interior specs are), so it feels like the Macan is more of a Q4 equivalent than a Q8. Regardless, it looks like it's one nice car, and if it drives anything like other Porsches I've driven, it'll be hard for me to resist.

If the EV Macan is similar in the rear seats to the current one I found the headroom in the second row to an an issue due to the sporty roof... the Q8 e-tron is very roomy for the second row.
