Has Audi fixed e-tron reliability issues with the 2021 model?
Dear Audi e-Tron owners,
I have been driving plug-in hybrids and EVs for a few years - both BMW and Nissan.
I looked into the Audi e-tron in 2019 and loved the design and the ride, but I was put off by the many reported reliability issues (leaky A pillars, random faults, rear light bar failures, phone app not connecting to the car, etc).
In your experience, has Audi successfully fixed these issues with the 2021 model?
Thank you in advance for your insights!
Nicolas

Some of the early builds may have had leaky moonroofs, but it's more the exception than the rule. The rear tail bar malfunction was replaced with a redesigned component for all affected models.
As with any all new models, there were some growing pains, but most of the 'issues' are small things that don't affect the overall performance and enjoyment of the eTron IMO. I have 2 2019 Oct 19 builds (technically in a normal year, they would have been 2020 MY). No reliability issues.
2021 has increased range from SW/HW updates and faster MMI with VZW as the new service provider. I would not have any hesitation- unless you drive long distances regularly.
Add in Costco Auto incentives and the current month's Audi lease incentives, IMO, this would be a good time to pick one up before the inventory shortage starts (semi-conductors) and prices rise.

Same here on my '19 with 15k miles. Just a couple recalls when in for the 10k service.

I have a 2019:
I had the tail light issue: dealer was awesome and fixed it. I had the leaky sunroof: dealer was awesome and fixed it.
Car currently has 20,000km on it and drives like it was brand new. Stoked to see what comes in the future, but the 2019 has been great and the 2021 seems even a bit more dialed plus the extra 8-9% range would be nice for sure.
Q6 PPE based e-tron would be great, but no information yet. Regardless, I would suggest leasing this car for most owners if the finances make sense for you. Tech is changing rapidly in this marketspace and I personally don't want to be married to any of these cars (and every previous car I have purchased has been financed cheap and paid off quickly, then kept for 10-12 years).

Almost 70,000 Miles on my 2019 early model Etron and other than the snafus others mentioned that have been no issues. I am on my third set of tires, so the etron does chew up tires.
WRT waiting, I can guarantee that in 2022 when the Q6 is getting ready for a 2023 delivery, yes it will be a 2023 delivery, there will be even more fancy tech and options coming for... ...2024 models. There is no end to it to be honest, life is short, time is short, money comes goes, get the car you want to drive now, who knows what the future holds. Just my 2 cents from my tiny soapbox...

2021 here with 2k miles, so far so good. No issues with Colorado winters (figure 10% range loss when 32F, 20% when it was -20F), outstanding in the snow on Michelin X-Ice Snows (as a bonus, better ride quality and less noise than OEM Goodyears... expected, everything they make is junk). Incredible daily driver and with dealer discounts and Federal plus state tax credits, the same cost as Model Y-Bother Long Range for something that's not a creaky unpainted turd.
Q6 will be incremental. I don't expect major changes in battery or motor tech for 5+ years. All the headline and investor dollar grabs about the next amazing battery technology have to be proven to last in a car at -50F to +140F for 10 years.
