Driver Take Over Warning Too Sensitive?
While cruise is engaged, I always have my hand on the steering wheel and make small movements. Despite that I get the yellow steering wheel warning almost all the time, and then the warning to take over control, even while I am controlling the steering.
Is anyone else having this issue, and does anyone know how to adjust this so it doesn't happen so often?
I realize it is a safety feature, but it's getting annoying right now.
TIA

Yes, it’s annoying, along with the lane departure warning not allowing for being between the lines but on one side (like on the freeway when next to a semi or median). Both need to be tuned more, can tell they weren’t adequately tested.
If Audi made software like this updateable, would be a significant selling point - I assume you’ll just have to buy a new model however (if they even fix it until a full refresh).

Many other software related issues here, but never an issue with the lane keep. The steering wheel is capacitive touch. Could you try gripping at different parts?

On my '21 if the yellow Take Over message appears have to grip the wheel @ 10 or 2 o'clock position to clear the message. Generally holding the steering wheel at 4 or 8 o'clock. My '19 did not require a robust grip to clear the Take Over message like the '21.

I’d assume that’s due to redesign to allow for heated steering wheel, probably is less sensitive to touch.

Agreed, most hand positions seem to require some periodic movement, BUT, I’ve found I can keep a relatively loose and stationary grip on the lower portion, 7 or 8 o’clock (by the fork of the wheel) and it’ll stay engaged.
I should add I’m in a 2019 with the capacitive touch wheel.

Thanks for all the comments. I realize it has to do with the capacitance sensing on the steering wheel as well as requiring motion, but I am doing that. It does not matter where I hold the wheel, and how much I move it.
There should be a sensitivity adjustment somewhere in the programming to deal with it, it is most annoying. The dealer checked it and said it was normal, but I can't really accept that.
Otherwise the latest software fixes seem to work, I just wish Audi would add OTA updates for the operating system, and stop protecting their dealers' service departments.

So are there different sections for heating and capacitive touch?
