Default 21 inch Tire recommendation?

Need to replace my 21 inch 265/45/21 soon.

wondering what tires should I get. I like Michelin crossclimate2 but I afraid it may reduce EV range.

anyone has tried none email tires? What is range?

My new Q8 has Hankook tires which are very quiet and the car seems to have good range.

Thanks. I have never tried Hankook. It looks like Hankook is also a good one to consider.

Default I have Michelin CrossClimate2

Due to a hole in a sidewall, I had to replace the stock Conti all season tires after only 11k miles. I replaced them with the CrossClimate2 tires about a month ago. TBH, I’m not seeing much decrease in range, driving no differently. The tests were on Teslas, so who knows? They handle much better, both wet and dry, than the Contis did. Sound is different, about same volume. Less irritating to my ears. It’s more fun to drive the car with these tires, and this may itself lead to decreased range!

My 23 Etron came with Hancook tires too. No complaints here.

I’m a Michelin man here and have been for decades. Even with the funky looking tread design I’d go with the ‘Crossclimate 2’, as handling; braking; compliance, etc. are far more important to me than longevity and a potential 1-2dB increase in noise, or minute decrease in range.

Just check out the ratings on Tirerack for further data.

The Hankooks handle like poop. Or maybe it's the car that handles like poop. However Hankooks are pretty much the quietest tires I've ever rolled down the road on.

Look for the A0 tires, if you can't find a set, pull the foam out of the Hankooks and glue into your new tires or get some new foam to glue in the tire.

I'm about to order a new set of tires and it's a toss up between these two tires.

+1

I bought the CrossClimate 2 based on the TireRack reviews. I had them installed on my Lexus RX last fall, just before the CA rain, and have about 6K miles on them. The wet/dry handling and braking have been great so far. I’ll probably get a set for the wife’s A3 in the fall.
