Winter Tires

It's a safe bet, IMO, that they are the same. A quick Google suggests that the TPMS are the same throughout VAG and many other manufacturers. But I don't guarantee anything either.

Another question If i have 2 set of wheel with the right TPMS. Do you have to go to the dealer to have them programmed to the car, 2 times a year when I change tires?
Thank you in advance

When you put the other set on just set the tire pressure in MMI and it recognizes the sensors automatically.

All season tires?
I’m in the same boat as my new GT came with the summer tires. As I’m in Boston, I’m wondering if I’m better off just throwing high performance all season tires on year round so I don’t have to switch twice a year?

Note though that the CrossClimate2 fits the Taycan/etronGT staggered setup only for 20” wheels, not 19 or 21.

I ended up with the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tire.. The dealer wouldn't install them as they only have a 130 MPH "H" rating (and the car can go faster than that), but I had them put on elsewhere.. I've got about 27000 miles on them so far, with maybe 5-7000 more on the treads. Performance is good, and they're pretty quiet. Price about $1400 at TireRack (now about $1650 for all 4)

The Verdict, sort of
Welp, I installed the winter tire package a few days ago. No snow yet though. However, in normal driving, and in driving rain, I'm pretty impressed. The feel is pretty much like the summer tires in conservative driving. Balance was perfect. Tracked perfectly even at walking pace. No tramlining. The stick on wet roads is amazing. I often encounter one particular steep uphill turn on wet polished asphalt, guaranteed to spin tires on most cars, that these tires, in hard rain, ran up like on dry road. Very impressive! (Credit: Project Farm). Anyway, short version, if you're on the fence, IMO, go for the package from Audi. And as a bonus, the wheels look really nice too.
Second bonus: if you're concerned about TPMS, don't be. Install the tires, drive a handful of miles, and they'll be detected automatically. I can't tell you how far to go - I drove about 18 miles before I checked and discovered that they were working.
