Default Winter rubber

What is the concensus on god winter rubber for AR. Looking to use factory original wheels and load them up with good quality winter tires since I am now dealing with upstate NY winter roads, next summer thinking separate wheels with summer rubber. I would like to find out what winter wheels you all like. Appreciated !

Check out the Nokian WR. It's an all season tire that's also rated for mud and snow. Good dry road performance and great in the snow. I am on my 3rd set on my allroad. It's now called the WR G2 and has a new design.

I got the wr g2s today and they rock. So quiet. I've had two sets of wrs and they were great but got really loud as they got older. I'm thinking these won't. $700 out the door in Grand Rapids.

I run on Continental extreme winter up here in Canada, can't complain, very quiet, excellent in ice and snow.

Hakkapelitta R if you're going for separate winter/summer wheel/tire setups. The WR versions of all-season tires are good, but don't have the full-on winter performance of the R.

I'm running Rs in the winter on our S8 and the earlier RSi on the 200q20v avant.

Witerforce (Firestone) have treated me fine for the past two seasons. I am going to get my third on them with at least half the tread left. Tires were cheap too.
