wheel spacers for 35mm wheels
I got a set of 19x8.5 wheels with a 35 mm offset. I will be ordering a pair of 20mm spacers from H&R for the front. My question is, do I need to put spacers on the rear as well even though the breaks are smaller? thanks for your time.

It is not about clearance for the brakes. The spacers bring the inner edge of the wheel & tire towards the outside to clear the control arm and other body components. (The entire wheel sits closer to the tire flares.)

I would put the same spacers on the back to maintain the cars original tracking geometry.

yes, however my question is do i HAVE to? the spacers i am looking at from H & R are pretty expensive and I can only afford one pair right now. Will the 35 mm offset wheel fit to the rear without spacers for just a temporary mount untill i can get spacers for the rear?
Also, what are some other manufacturers and websites for some nice spacers? I see H & R only has 20mm as their smallest. that would put me at 15 mm, didnt really wanna go that big. But I do want the type that mount to the hub and use your factory lug bolts.

You can go to 15mm spacer if you don't wanna big,
but recommend 20mm because of its looks and stability.
