Default Another H-Sport convert...

Wow, what an improvement. I got a set off of eBay for a fairly reasonable price and just got around to installing them this weekend.

The install was a PITA even with All Italian's excellent writeup (thanks!) Getting the rear bar off was a challenge and getting the new one on was even harder. Working in a small space to get the end links off was tough. I strongly recommend getting a ratcheting 16mm box end wrench. Getting the new bar back in was also rough, especially set on stiff. The end links looked a little twisted to the side when I was done and I was a little worried, but they cleared the CV boot fine. The front was pretty straightforward on Level one. It took a little levering to get the links aligned, but it was way easier than the rear.

After about 3 1/2 hours I buttoned everything up and took the car for a spin. Even with snow tires, the difference was immediately obvious. The ride was a little stiffer, but the car now turns in right now, and body roll has been banished to the land of wind and ghosts. The slightly uncomfortable pause and roll that was the hallmark of hard cornering is now entirely gone. It was easily the best single mod I have done to any of our Audis. Now I just can't wait until I can get summer tires back on.

Default Congrads...enjoy the ride...

did you get the end links on the rear mounted on the correct side? There has always been confusion on this even with installers.

Default Thanks. The endlinks are on the outside of the swaybar...

Which is how both All Italian's instructions and the H-Sport install instructions show them.

Default Good to hear you like them so much. I just ordered mine.

Now ideally I'll be able to find a shop that will let me hover and assist so I can make sure they do it right.

Nice wheels, btw... waht are they?

Default I experimented this morning with different front drop links. Stay tuned...

Virtually identical to a Subaru WRX part.

Default They are 17" Ace Lolas.

I'm not sure they make them anymore. They need spacers to fit as well. I had them left over when I sold the S4.

Default It's the best mod for the$

Mine are set on soft, and will probably go to hard this spring. Flattens and lightens the car, seemingly....

I'll keep an eye out for them. Those and the Hartmann F1's are my fav.
