Wax before winter

Wax before winter
I plan (time permitting) to wax the allroad prior to the lovely winter season. I know there must be previous threads on this, however I need your quick feedback on which is the best and easiest was to apply on my black allroad.
1) eagle one?
2) turtle wax?
3) others???
Thanks again.

My vote goes to Black Magic, easy & effective.......
Determined to be best by Consumer Reports.
I have always washed & waxed in staight lines front to back. Works well for me.
The new micro polishing cloths make wiping the wax off easier too.

I second that. Phil at Detailer's Domain helped open me up to the world of detailing...
I've always been a nut about a clean car. I've previously used Maguires Cleaner/Wax and other decent products for 30 yrs. using a Sears buffer to remove. But recently I purchased a semiorbital polisher and got some products from Phil. Amongst them is a can of 1Z Glanzwax which I used after a good polishing with Menzerna polish. What an incredible difference. What it comes down to is how much time you want to put in to it and how much of a fanatic are you. If the latter, drop an e-mail to Phil and he'll get you set up.

3rd...
Yes, Phil offers great sales (pricing), service, product selection, etc. I've used Glanz Wax before and it is a really nice product. It can be a little streaky at times on removal, but noting a little quick detailer spray can't take cre of. You should get a good 4 months give or take out of Glanz depending upon weather conditions and whether your car is garaged or not.
Before winter hits here in St. Louie though, I'll be hitting mine with some Collinite 476 paste wax though. It's some serious stuff and has given me a full 6 months of protection with some quick top offs of either Duragloss AquaWax or Prima Hydro in between (spray waxes). Collinite's 845 Insulator Wax is almost as good as well. They both can be found at Harbor Freight as well if there's one in your area. Usually around $13.

4th, Phil is the best -- Try Either Glanz or Menzema FMJ
even if you are not a detailing nut. A quick coat of either will make a huge difference.
I highly recommend the clay bar. Removes all the tar, bugs, other stains and follow up with the glanz or FMJ.
