Here is some data from the US' largest auction site (Manheim.com) This data is typically "dealer only" info and is great to have to go into a negotiation with.
I thought it was interesting and figured I would post it for you guys. Let me want to run another car for you...

Not sure how worthwhile that is, as the compiled data is more like KBB or Galves wholesale
If you want to know specific numbers, a couple of months ago I paid $20.1K before fees for a 2005 4.2 mint with 43K miles under warranty and no paintwork.

Also those are hammer prices......you have to load them up
For example, for a dealer to prep a car, you need to add auction fee, transport to dealer, detail, door dings/wheel scuffs/etc, mats/books if needed, and sometimes cars will need brakes/tires etc but not always.

Bruce is right. The dealer may have to invest 2k just to make the vehicle
presentable to the discriminating pubic buyer. Auctions are the way to go, but you need someone like Bruce (with a great eye and Audi knowledge) to represent you to get the best buy and a vehicle you would approve of.
