Default turn signals not working, but hazards work just fine...

trying to diagnose problem before heading into the shop. my turn signals no longer work but simply click once or twice then nothing. however, when i turn my hazards on, all lights work fine at the correct interval. i did notice that prior to the signals not working, they did seem to be much slower over the last few days. is this a relay problem?

i suspect not because the hazards work fine. no warning lights are shown on my dash except the warning light with the green arrows pointing in opposite directions flickers for a fraction of a second when i turn the signal by the stalk.

any advice is appreciated.

Default I think it is still the hazzard relay.

I believe thats how mine acted when it failed. That was a few years ago so my memory of it is a little fuzzy.

Default Two different systems inside hazard button exclusive of eachother. Stalk connections

or hazard button still the culpret. Most people have replaced the hazard button and this solved it. Hovever both times for me on different allroads it has been the stalk.

As I understand it, on these cars, there's also a potential issue with the turn signal stalk itself.

Default yes, as I remember the blinkers started blinking erratically, then they just stayed on..

At the time it was covered under warranty, but it was a simple relay.

Default If the clicking happens when the stalk is centered, the problem is the stalk.

If the clicking happens when you're trying to signal a turn, the problem is the hazard relay.

At least, that's been the history here.
