Default In some parts of the country you can get a beater car for $450. Buy an Audi and you can get...

...the turn signal controls replaced for $450. Lovely.

Default Yep .

Clicks excessively or not at all when you're trying to signal -- bad relay.

Clicks excessively when you're not trying to signal -- bad stalk.

That's been the history on the forum, anyway.

Default It's attached to the hazard switch.

Search the forum -- lots of postings on this frequent failure.

Default Since I was bashed for being grouchy the other day for telling someone to search I

will help you out...it is attached to the hazard triangle button on the console...to get it out you have to gently pry off the trim piece..search for this technique but I found that, as there are six clips on mine if I worked very gently around with a very slim, computer screwdriver I got it to pop off...the piece that is attached to the relay is the entire hazard module...this is a little confusing as it looks like it sits inside a sleeve as it is stepped down around the edge at the front but it pulls straight out, it is kept in place with a metal clip like in some electronic toys (hey, I have to liken it to something I know...the entire module slips forward and you have to unplug the plug in the back, but you can do most of the upfront work ahead of getting the new part...as I said I am still waiting for warmer weather to put my trim back, that and my hazard button is a little stiff and is a little problematic to turn off and I want to work on that a bit more, in not so cold weather. The trim, I am told can also break going back on and I'd like to successfully complete this project Good luck.

Glad to do it...I'm just learning along with everyone else...it is just that if you have this car long enough you just might see it all

Default Why the yep on stalk when he says it only clicks when he tries to use it? My money is

on the relay...much more common problem and a cheaper, easier fix to start with.

Yep was for the two distinct symptoms, not for the diagnosis.
