yep same technique.......
Although if he needs to chaze truly dozens of holes, he may just want to get a proper tap to have ready......
I was thinking of past holes i've put in aluminum, which have been in much larger diameters - where taps cost close to a hundo.

Thanks for all the replies everyone...I'm going to try to hit my dealer up to take them apart...
...and I'll take it from there from a cleaning perspective, and see if they can re-assemble.
