For 2000# (alum. boatand trailer), this curt brand should be good. link below is the install, price of hitch, and avail. wire harness. I've installed it to my Toyota Sienna van- no regrets. It just hauls the speedboat just fine. I've also installed another aftermarket hitch on my MDX no problem either. The only hassle installing this hitch for the AR is that you need to drill some holes! The two I've installed did not need any drilling at all. By the way, I got both from etrailer.com.
Hey, pls. post pics..

I bought the Westfalia wiring harness, and no I could not make it work with the North American trailer wiring. I'm not saying it won't work, just that I could not make it work & I consider myself pretty handy with these things.

I ordered 15 OEM hitches just a few months ago. They ARE still available and have a European tow capacity of 2300Kgs, or just over 5000lbs. Whilst all 15 of the hitches I ordered have been sold, I can give you the information and contact number if you want to purchase one. Email me.

I to would like to find an actually-available OEM hitch. P.M. to Silva hasn't worked yet, so if anyone reading this can provide any tips or leads, please let me know. Or better yet, just put the info in the thread here so we can all know : ) thx

Thanks for the lead.
Can someone confirm that this Westfalia product their website shows, is indeed the exact same thing as the Audi OEM product we once would have been able to get from our North American dealers?

No it's not what Audi sold in North America, that hitch simply does not exist anymore anywhere unless you buy it used from someone. The difference is in the way the tow ball attaches to the hitch. The hitch in the link is what Audi used/uses on their european spec. cars.
