Ton of work done to my allroad

Ton of work done to my allroad
So I had a coolant leak that turned out to be the coolant pipe that goes along the rear of the engine and supplies the heater core. So my friend who is an Audi tech swapped the pipe and all the seals associated with it. He had to take the entire intake off to swap it.
While he had the car, I had him do the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, tensioner, rollers, etc. I also had him replace my front O2 sensors with oem ones. I used cheapo ebay units that turned out to be a total waste of $100!!!! grrrrr. Everything listed above (and all coolant flushed with Audi G12) cost me $1600 for parts and labor. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't own 3 Audis. I couldn't afford to maintain them at the dealer and I wouldn't trust just anyone to do this extensive amount of work. I mean, who wants to spend $2000 in maintanence on a 10 year old car and feel skeptical about it being done correctly.
Last week I had the EGT sensors replaced. Thank God for ECT tuning having the set on sale.
Car just turned over to 100k miles. Should be ready to run another 100k hopefully!!! Air suspension was swapped for Arnott Bilstein units last year. ALL new front suspension last summer too. This June my wife is buying me some 18" wheels and tires as part of my 40th Birthday gift. plus a week in Vegas. God I love that woman. LOL

Do not relax, at 103K I did the TC, RR air bag, 2 cat's and an oil pan gasket(4th)...$3500.
Now at 106K I need a new RF air spring. (It was previously replaced by the dealer at 77K.)
I tend to forget about the expense when I am driving it.
Love, hate, love, hate......

At 106k I did the Arnott 4-corner Gen II w/ Bilsteins.
At 106.5k I did a new VAST RS4 clutch, pressure plate, resurfaced flywheel, slave cylinder, and turbo oil return line gaskets.
Now, at 107k, I need a new gearbox. Good thing I bought this car at the right price. Although, if this continues, maybe the right price would have been free.
We love this car. It's intended as an occasional use car which it-certainly is due to the time it spends in the shop.
I hope the bleeding stops here for a while.

Actually, these gearboxes have a reputation for 1st/2nd gear shift collar, hub and synchro failure. AA has a kit for replacing just those parts and it's a lot cheaper than a rebuilt gearbox. Gonna see if my mechanic will do the job.
I just hope the turbo's will last another 20-50k.
Wish me luck.
