Tire recommendation for 17 in OEM twin spokes on a 4.2

Anyone running this General tire?
I run dedicated Nokian WR in winter on 16s, but I have the OEM 17" wheels. What size tire? Do I need the Z rating (I think I can upsize to get it).<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftires.jsp%3FtireMake%3D General%26amp%3BtireModel%3DExclaim%2BUHP%26amp%3B vehicleSearch%3Dtrue%26amp%3Bpartnum%3D255VR7EUHP% 26amp%3BfromCompare1%3Dyes%26amp%3Bspeed_rating%3D H%26amp%3

after having the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 245/50 ZR17, I like the Pirelli better. It has a softer sidewall, but I can still throw it into corners. The overall ride is much nicer with the Pirelli.

Mixed feelings
I just finished ~27K miles with these and have switched to Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. I had to run the Michelin over inflated to keep the car from feeling squirly (not sure why, but it worked). The center of the tires were down to the tread bars but the shoulders were OK, I was starting to hydroplane too easily.
I liked the Michelin's while I had them and that was all I knew. With new tires now, I realize that the Michelin's were noisey and a little hard riding. They were fun, but when it came time to pay for new tires, they weren't worth it for me.

I agree w/overinflating the fronts to help w/the squirrelly feeling but left the rears just slightly
overinflated to lessen the center tire wear. This seems the best for me. With the new tire options out there, maybe I should look at alternatives when it's time.

Thanks - I went with the Eagle F1s in 235/55ZR17...
Many thanks for the input from different people. After consideration of your thoughts and the rankings and specs on TireRack, I went with the Eagle F1s in 234/55ZR17. Y speed and 99 load ratings. Just slightly higher rated (over-all) than the Michelin Pilot Sports A/S by Tirerack, but $50 less per tire.
Thanks again. I may post a later follow-up when I've got some a couple 1000 miles on them.
