Time for a survey: Air Spring Leaks... with 402 and without the 402 mod...
Kobiwan posted that riding on level one compresses the air springs too much and will cause early failure (I don't agree).
So the follow up to this is that those with the 402 mod would have more failures than those without the mod.

I've always driven about equal time on either L1 or L2. My failure was on L2.
I remember leaving mine on L1 overnite after it started leaking on L2. L1 would not leak. I would think that the leak/wear would be worse on the level it was mostly driven on.

No 402, I drive L2, but my leak was at L1.
I would think that the leak/wear should be worse on the level (fold) it was mostly driven on, also. I drive 90% in L2 and the rest of the time L1 or L3.
Due to bad roads, L1 is dangerous to drive for long here.
I lowered to L1 a couple of days ago, and left it there. I've got to watch where I drive, but my percentage might start to change. I like the new look.

Drivers side front @ 52k, we usually drive in lvl2. It was only a slow leak, would take about 18 hrs
to drop.
No 402 mods here.
And it happened at the most inopportune time. I replaced with a used bag and shock I acquired from Fastallroad.
I have since decided to replace both front and rears from Arnott.
I will donate all the used components to the forum at a reasonable cost.
Also upgrading to ko4's and gutted downpipes, apr diverter valves, apr flash, and giac tip chip, and snub mount.
Next will come new brakes, and pads, but I want to stick with the stock 17" wheels, so I'm looking for rotors that will fit, would prefer slotted and dimpled. Still undecided on which pads to use. I experienced very poor braking while driving thru the Pa. mountains recently and would like to improve the performance of the stock brakes.
