Suspension compressor running often
Hey all - my suspension compressor in my '01 A/R seems to be running a lot more often lately. Pretty much every time I get in the car and go, it runs for a good 10 seconds or so and maybe occassionally when in transit. This, as far as I can remember, is new.
The two front bags have been replaced within the last year. The valve block and compressor were also replaced back in late 2005 (40k miles back). I'm getting no droop in either of the four corners. Took it to my local Audi guy. They pulled codes and found nothing. They say everything is fine. But I'm convinced that its running too much and the last thing I need is to burn out another compressor.
Can the system still have a leak and throw no codes? It obviously would have to be a small one cuz I'm getting no obvious deflation. Mechanic thought initially it might be the control module but, again, no codes.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Suspension compressor running often
I was told that leaking air bags do not produce codes. Search here for the soapy water test. Also, do you leave the ar on 2 all the time? Lower to 1 and you may then see the droop. Mine only drooped on 1

I hava a very similar problem with my allroudi
None of the corners fall down whatever level I leave it overnight or twice I left it for a week parked on the airport and it had no measurable difference in drive height. I even ran with the measuring tape around the car several times.
I just think it is that the compressor starts to be noisier after time and therefor you now register it.
