Default wow. thats a lot for Texas gas...

Lived in Texas for a long time, now back in the Northeast. NJ has many faults, but gas prices is not one of them. I put on 110 miles a day so frequent the pump. Haven't gone over $40 yet, but here is something interesting since I always go to the same station and get 93 octane:

3/8 - $1.90 per gallon
3/21 - $2.15 per gallon

Didn't realize it went up almost 25 cents a gallon in 13 days. What a bunch of crap.

Default Only Spring/Summer advice I can offer is this...

fill up in the early morning or LATE night. Why?

Gasoline is more dense when cold/cool and less dense when warm. Some tanks are more prone to heating up during the day and this causes the gas to "swell." We are talking only a little bit here, but hey, with gas tank fill ups becoming increasingly more expensive, every little bit counts, right?
