Guy is selling his 2001 Allroad, 89k, 6 speed, stage 2, with a salvage title and won't budge from his price of 8500..... What would anyone on this board pay for this vehicle? Nice car tho, don't get me wrong....

Depends on why its deemed salvage, as it will have very little value in terms of any insurance claim IF it can be even get comprehensive or gets involved in an accident. I would deem it about $2000 max IMO, not matter how clean. The car is worth more parted out. Having modded parts on a salvage title car is not a why choice unless it's being used for offroad or motorsports use.

Thanks for the reply, thats what I was thinking. I was interested in it to use for the winter and pack the dogs in and was offering him 6 just bc I would get use out of it but the whole insurance thing is what I was worried about. Clean car for sure, but I couldn't see spending more than blue book on it w it having a salvage title.

For that money, you can find a newer year Allroad that's worth more. Plus, you wouldn't need a modded car for winter snow use. I know of someone that sells cleaned up and sorted out Allroads and has a few now I think, if your interested.

Not to mention he slipped the " you know its salvage title right " in there as I was gonna pick up the lady and go get the money out. I'd still buy it if he'd sell it for 4k or less

OP, Where are you located? There is a guy local (NV/CA) That is selling his stage 2 M/T allroad clean title, 88k on the clock for 8500.
