Default rear main seal leak?

Just had the rear main seal replaced on my 2001 ar. I've had the car back for a week and each time I shut it off I can smell oil, not burning but the smell of fresh oil out of a tranny ( has a different smell than engine oil), checked out the rear main and there is fresh oil at the bottom of the fly wheel? I don't know if I'm expecting too much but shouldn't there be no oil at all around there, especially after a new seal is installed with a $2000- + price tag?

I'd have your mechanic take another look at it to be sure. I wouldn't expect there to be fresh fluid continuing to drip.
