Default P0175/P0172

Hey Guys,

i am getting these two codes both running rich bank1 and bank2. also im feeling a hesitation/cutting out under full throttle. When nice and warm the car feels sluggish and a bit of a rough idle it doesn't respond to throttle like it should. Could this be MAF? injectors? vacuum leak? not sure where to begin...i started focusing onto vacuum leak but in reality not sure where to look. i checked DV's hoses and they seem to be okay and checked via carb cleaner method and idle didn't change the slightest. I'm simply out of ideas now and looking for any and all help from people who found or came across same symptoms. I'm pretty sure i missed a few things here and there so if you have a question to help you narrow it down please let me know and ill try to answer the best i can

thank you in advance

Do you want to repair yourself? It can be tricky and time consuming but Google is your friend
I highlighted those that are often the reason at Allroad:

Common Problems That Trigger the P0172 and P0175 Code

PCM software needs to be updated
Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF)
Defective Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP)
Engine mechanical problems
Defective Oxygen Sensor
Defective Fuel Pressure Regulator
Defective Coolant and/or Air Temperature Sensor
Thermostat is stuck open
Ignition Misfires
Defective Throttle Position Sensor
Defective or restricted fuel return line
Defective Fuel Injectors

Common Misdiagnoses

Oxygen Sensors
Fuel Pump
Fuel Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator

Check the above items if you have a vag-com or vcds.

Notice: e.g. faulty O2 sensor/s do not activate check engine MIL lamp.

Thank you,

I as well came across this article and have it saved in case. I'm debating doing it myself or just taking it to a dealer and having it corrected in one shot :s still debating

Good morning

I smelt a strong gas smell this morning....could this be on any way related? If so what should I be looking for?

Thanks
