Necessary to do alignment after replacing air spring?
My dealer just called and confirmed that the left front air spring is shot. He recommended doing an alignment on it after it's replaced. I don't think I've ever had it aligned in the year and few months I owned it. Quoting $139 for it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Ask the dealer why?
I've had a lot of warranty work done in 5+ months of ar ownership. After the TC, alignment was done. No alignment after Inner CV joints, no alignment after front air springs. If air springs are warranty work alignment should be covered, if not what was the cost?

Re: Ask the dealer why?
Air springs were warranty work, but extended warranty work. Stated that extended warranty company would not cover an alignment. I went through something similar before with my A6 and remember HondaCare would not cover it either. Knocked $30 off.

alignment is not needed after front air springs.
no settings change when they are installed.
Tranny work however, can result in removing alot of front end related parts that requires alignment.
