Default Lag or slight stall at launch....

Feels as though I've lost some low end power, when it kicks it's good but before that feels like I'm towing a boat. Anything similar out there....any ideas???

Default Left foot braking?

I know that when I have tried left foot braking, the car seems to limp off the line if I hit the gas before releasing the brake.

Default Was the first and WILL be the last "Tip" I'll ever buy. Huge mistake, huge :( ...

several time I have pulled out, apply the throttle and nothing. I am wondering how much longer this nice straight virgin paint is going to last. Computer control and drive-by-wire is a wonderful thing.......NOT IN THIS CASE!!!!
Yes I am yelling, just not at anyone on here. Just frustration, with myself wanting to be lazy and not use a clutch. Thought I was tired of shifting, well I guess I'm not.

Default Tip throttle lag ... Yuk!

Absolutely love the allroad ... except the dreaded no response when flooring the accelator pedal. Other than being extremely annoying this can be very dangerous especially when performing a quick lane change requiring instant acceleration. Does the GIAC Tip Chip help this problem?

Default For what its worth -- not present in 4.2

had the tip in my 2003 2.7T --> it sucked. throttle/tip lag sullied an otherwise great driving experience.

my 05 4.2 is amazing (especially when its cold -- dont know why -- but I@ve seen it discussed on the S4 b6 board) in its immediate throttle response -- especially in sport mode. don`t know if its the improvement to the tip in 2 years or its somehow the way the 4.2 delivers its power/torque. All I know is I would never get a 2.7T tip -- only 6spd

Default ar is bad, but my A4 Cab is AWFUL... at least a one second pause...

It is a trick just to pull into traffic from a stop... the ar at least goes hard once it goes, but the 1.8 w/ the CVT is a dreaded zombie from a dig.

Default Look man I gotta correct you.... I know you love your 4.2 but BTL is there too....

The difference in the BTL from the 2.7 vs the 4.2 is that the Motronic dumps all boost so the motor acts if you had disconnected the turbos. The 4.2 doesn't act as dramatically because it's an NA motor... the injection and ignition is retarded. way less dreamatic because the 2.7 goes to full boost after a moment and feels like you were shot from a cannon. The 4.2 simply relaxes the restrictions and the transition to full power is much smoother.

If you do the research it's well documented by Bosch. I have driven the 04 and 05 allroad 4.2 and have been able to induce BTL.

Carry on.
