Default I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS

Have terrible reception/performance on my Bose symphony. I don't know if it is a reception or equipment problem. The volume mysteriously drops significantly at various times when in FM/AM function. If I increase the volume, I can still hear the station clearly and without static. Then all of the sudden the radio will kick in and be quite loud. If I switch to a different station, the reception is good, but again the volume level is very low compared to the setting. I usually set the volume to 12-14. Additionally, this volume "problem" does not manifest itself when I play a CD. Anybody got any ideas?

Pull radio out and check for any loose connectors or wire kinks

Default Is this Sym I or Sym II. Could be the GALA / speed sensitive volume wire?

just thinking out loud. See my sig for details of where that wire is located.
