Default I believe that is low even for car dealer - Jackass Daniels at Fair Lawn, NJ.

I brought my car for 30K service. Scheduled an appointment with Jack Daniels, NJ from Fair Lawn, NJ.
They did what suppose to do. Changed oil but didn't fix 2 other things -- **** as usual as I say. But today I found that they replaced license frame. Before that had name of Audi of Fairfield, CT (where I bought car 2 years ago), but now it has Jack Daniels name on it.
I believe that was low even for car stealer. What do you think?

Default Don't put the dealer frames on your cars at all...unless you're being paid for that advertising.

Fairfield actually did that to me on my A4. I had Pray Audi on it, the former owner of New Country Audi and Fairfield swapped it out for some free advertising. I find it discraceful...but it doesn't surprise me.

Default Actually..if you are the owner of the car then that is a kind of theft, IMHO.

I think its called pilfering....and doing such a stupid thing w/o your permission is really below the belt.
Pushing marketing over the edge does not really improve reputation, very poor move by Jack Daniels! And specially after Audi announced more distance to VW and higher standards etc. pp.!

Default they did the same to me! and i live in CA!!

i was in NYC last summer and i drove the AR for a bit of a road trip with my girlfriend. while i was there i needed to have the oil changed so i took it to JD as my parents live in bergen county.

JD took my metal *Santa Monica Audi* frames off and replaced them with their cheep looking plastic ones.... i didnt notice until a few days later. i called and they said they didnt have my old ones.

however, other than that, i found the service A+

Default I agree whole heartedly

Whenever I buy a new car, I always make the dealer take off all advertising. I offer to let them keep it for $5g's, but no dealer has ever taken that deal.

These are now illegal in Texas and dealers still stick them on.

Default I agree somewhat, on our Audi's I keep the dealers frames on because they have been great.

On my Subaru, the dealer sucks and I took all markings from them off my car.

Default Service receptionist told me that this is a general company policy.

And If I want to keep my OLD frame, I have to ASK them first. She also mentioned that other customer complains too.
Still cannot find my service writer - Bob Hohmann, look like he is hiding.
