Default front bumper removal

anyone have an article or easy way to get the front bumper off? im used to the b5 bumper this c5 is a little different, what is the trick to separating the bumper from the fender/fender well?

Yes, very easy. You don't even have to jack up the car or take off the wheels. If you turn the wheels in or out you can remove about four of the torx screws from the wheel well liner. Bend it out a bit to gain access to the three 10 mm bolts holding the bumper to the fender. You'll need a long extension. There is also two little screws at the wheel well that need to be removed. You've then got the two long bolts vertical bolts at the front and your ready to pull it off. You can removed the washer fluid connection and fog light connectors after you get it released.

There might be also two bolts underneath the car that you need to remove as well. Remove belly pan first.

Not 100% sure on that one though so it might be my imagination

Yea, I think your are correct. Mine were missing, so I forgot about them. You should be able to get the them with no problem even with the car on the ground.

Default word of warning...

If you can reach and disconnect the washer line before you remove the bumper you'll be better off. With sand/grit in the bumper fitting and pulling on the bumper it tends to come loose all at once and you'll break the T fitting in two pieces. (ask me how I know this
