What about intercoolers? Can anyone compare those dyno curves to K04 curves? I'm interested in differences in the way boost builds. Full boost is delivered at about 4700 rpm on this setup. Torque rises steadily with this setup, whereas I think most K04 setups pull more torque down low. Hard to beat though for the target price of $5K.

I would guess he is making 75 to 100 more hp then k04s at 28 psi compared to 20 to 22 psi for k04s from the boost levels, and 1/4 times of k04s compared to his.

k04s are into full boost by 3000 rpms, and you are going to get a higher rpm power band with the tials. It took me a while to get use to the lag in power going from k03s to k04s, I would love to take a ride in an allroad with the tial turbos to see how they drive on the street.

+1 paulroad.

and how well it stays fast down a mountain road.

but still impressive that he got low 12s out of a allroad.
