Double headed arrow and turn signal

Double headed arrow and turn signal
When I turn on my right turn signal there is a green double headed arrow with a "1" in the middle that flashes in the left benzel. On left turns it flashes only once. I cannot find this referenced anywhere in the manual or in searching the forum. Does anyone know what this might mean? All of the light bulbs are fine.

that light is the euro directional...they don't use the L&R arrows...
if it stays on then you may have a short in your turn signal stalk. The level itself within the steering column. I get a micro flash sometimes, since the car was new.

I used to get that occasionally as well
And then I replaced my flasher because it became addicted to crack, and I never saw it again.
I have read that it should blink along with the turn signals when you have a trailer attached... but I have not been able to independently verify this.

I think its the turn signal stalk..
dirty contacts I had something like this and R&R the stalk did it. its not always the flasher relay...try moving the turn signal lever very slow and see what happens...
in tech terms some volts pass thru into the other turn signal contacts and you get both arrows, some times this will happen even if the lever is in center...
its common to have both arrows for a moment after a turn due to the stalk bouncing back to center and tapping other side contacts ...its normal audi/vw thing
