Default Bosal Hitch Fail

The towbar/ball assembly of the Bosal hitch I installed in my 2004 6MT has not been used for the last 12 or so months and now will not latch into the hidden receiver. I sent an email to Bosal using their website contact address and it was returned. Guess who's not a happy customer. Maybe I should ask Justin for two hitches to replace the Bosal POS and add a hitch to our second Allroad. Same kind of issue this guy had:

Good to know - for how much they cost, I've always speculated how well those (hidden) Bosal hitches held up. Even for a 5000lb capacity IMO the design just looks weak.

Repeated soakings over several days with PB Blaster and a spray lube finally got the thing to work.
