Maybe I should have used more text regarding the hose clamp comment. Totally agree there is nothing wrong with Audi clamps, I use them myself, my comment was to grab some spares (either type). The last thing you want when you have spent $100+ on the new pump and manifold gaskets, an hour or so pulling the inlet manifold off only to realise you need a couple of clamps and now your need to get cleaned up, borrow another car and a trip to the shop for a hose clamp.
A handful of clamps costs a couple of dollars, always handy to have in the toolbox if you don't use them.
The comment was just meant to be helpful to someone preparing to do the job based on my experience having just done it.
